Terms of Use

Last updated: 16 October 2026

By using Latics.News or creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Use.

1. About Latics.News

Latics.News is an independent Wigan Athletic fan publication and supporter community. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Wigan Athletic Football Club, the EFL, Premier League or The FA.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You must provide accurate information, keep your login details secure, not share accounts, not impersonate another person and not create accounts to evade restrictions, suspensions or bans.

3. Community content

You remain responsible for content you submit. By posting publicly, you grant Latics.News a non-exclusive licence to host, display and reproduce that content as necessary to operate the Community.

You must not submit unlawful, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, deliberately misleading or infringing content. Spam, scams, impersonation and unauthorised commercial promotion are prohibited. The Community Guidelines form part of these Terms.

4. Moderation

Latics.News may remove content, restrict features, suspend posting, ban accounts and revoke active sessions where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users or keep the Community usable. A suspension may leave the site readable while preventing participation. A ban may prevent the account from signing in entirely.

5. AwayDay integration

Connecting an AwayDay account is optional. If you connect the services, you authorise the exchange of information needed to provide connected identity, profile, fixture, Match Passport and football-statistics features. AwayDay passwords are not shared with Latics.News.

Disconnecting stops future synchronisation but does not automatically delete Latics.News posts, predictions or other Latics-owned content.

6. Predictions, points and badges

Match predictions, Prediction League points, rankings and supporter badges are provided for entertainment and community participation. They have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money or prizes unless a separate promotion explicitly says otherwise.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Latics.News available and accurate but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. Features may be changed, withdrawn or temporarily unavailable.

8. Football information

Fixtures, scores, competition details and other football information may come from third-party data sources. We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate but cannot guarantee that all data is complete or error-free.

9. Intellectual property

Original Latics.News branding, site design and editorial content belong to their respective owners. Club names, badges, competition logos and trademarks belong to their respective rights holders and are used for informational and fan-media purposes.

10. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is explained in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

12. Contact
