Latics started well, with Sam Tickle making key saves in the first half to keep the visitors at bay. Jason Kerr’s header from a Jonny Smith corner put Wigan ahead on the hour mark, but Reading hit back just 11 minutes later as Jayden Wareham finished inside the box. With just four minutes remaining, Tyler Bindon pounced on a loose ball from a corner to snatch all three points for the visitors.
